Squeez is a very fast program for file compression and supports 13 different compression algorithms. Squeez compresses and decompresses SQX, ZIP, ARJ, LZH, RAR, CAB, GZIP, TAR, UUE, ACE, JAR, BZIP and 7Z - and all of this without further software!
Modern User Interface
Squeez can be customized very easy to fit for every users needs. It doesn’t matter what archiving tools you used thus far, Squeez is very easy to master!
Except the bare archive contents, Squeeez shows additional information about the archives in docking panes. Squeez can also show Common Tasks. They react to the selected content and offer fitting functionality! This is also the place for details about objects and to switch to other places.
Thanks to the integrated Quick View, you can view your files even if they are still in the archive! Program files, pictures, videos, music files and text files - Squeez shows them all!
Supporting many Archive Formats
Squeez has full support for 13 archive formats - in both, compression and decompression! Further, Squeez supports many sub-versions of the different formats. And everything without further software! Of course Squeez supports the well known ZIP format, besides its own SQX format. Squeez can handle the ZIP versions 2.0, 4.5 and 4.6 including the new 128/256 bit AES encryption. Through a signature SQX archives can prevent from undiscovered alteration.
Full Integration into Windows Explorer
Squeez offers many functions in the Windows Explorer context menu. Squeez & eMail will create an archive and attach it to a new message - with one click. The Windows Explorer property sheet is enhanced with a page about archive information. InfoTips shows basic information without even opening the archive. Squeez also makes operations via drag & drop easy, through adding helpful entries in the context menu.
Add-In for Microsoft Outlook
Squeez has an extra Add-In for Outlook, which can compress all attachments automatically. This Add-In even has a redirect function, to forward a message the way you received it yourself (shows the initial sender).
Command Line
Besides the graphical user interface and the Explorer integration, Squeez has a powerful command line which can deal with every occasion. SQC (Squeez Command Line) has more than 90 switches at its disposal, much more than in other archiving tools!
