Well, this movie looks good, but does it have English subtitles?? I don’t understand Japanese at all.

those subs are .sub file, and work with VLC Videoplayer, and even with most common DVDPlayers who can handle DivX
For those who are still using Winamp and Windows Mediaplayer > come on, get rid of those ! Try VLC its better quality and supports almost all videofiles.
The only subs that work are the chinese subs the other subs end in .idx which VLC does not recognise.
Have tried VLC, GOM player, Mplayer classic, Divx player and have tried renaming subs.
no renaming need if the subtitle file is the same name as the moviefile.
Use VLC Player and
just rightclick while the movie is playing,
there you choose subtitles and change between
1 japanese subtitles
2 english subtitles

What?! The subfix provided in the top is Japanese!!
What’s the use to provide Japanese subtitles, when i can’t even understand, never mind read the the Japanese subtitles!!
Sadly, this post is now useless… except for the few people who can read/understand Japanese. I thought that this site was supposed to target an English audience, rather Japanese??

how to get the subs to work in english:
i use media player classic with CCCP.
MPC to autoload subtitles is you want to.
locate the .sub & the .idx file in the same folder as the .avi.
open the idx file with notepad or an other editor.
search for “langidx” and set it from 0 to 2.
search for “forced subs” and set it from OFF to ON.
if you play the avi now it’ll have english subs
Dude.. The subs contain english subs too if you even bothered to check. Usually sub backs extracted from dvds contain many languages. You need only choose the right language and your good to go.
A tip: Set your default subtitle language to ENGLISH. That way it always shows the english subs. Sheesh.
Know what your talking about before you come to stupid conclusions.
Oh yeah. it helps to have vobsub installed. Install the windows vista codec pack. It has every codec you need. Nuff said
